Spider temperature problem

My 2000 Spider seems to be having problems with the thermostat. Driving around town in normal weather, the thermostat is nearly reaching the line between 90 deg and the 130 deg line.

If I have the aircon on the temp goes back down to below 90deg.

Could there be a problem with my thermostat, or is there anything I can check?

Re: Spider temperature problem

Could be that the thermostat is stuck closed. You can check it by removing the thermostat and immersing it in hot water with a thermometer, but if you're doing all that you may as well put a new one on anyway.
