96 2.0 TS Spider
Popped down to Cornwall at the weekend, as I got there the engine coughed a couple of time at low rev in a high gear, Okay I thought, a bit of stuff has got somewhere it shouldn't have.
The next day, driving around the countryside, it got progressively worse and worse, to the point where it felt like I was running or two or three cylinders. Low power, rough acceleration and generally running like a Dawg.
Check under the bonnet for split pipes, etc, unplugged the usual suspects, MAF, etc.
Decided to call it a day and drive home on the sunday, after being a little annoyed with the Spider, I RAGGED it up the motorway home, Guess what! Problem solved!
Speaking to my mechanic relative, he suggests it could have been crap in an injector, or more like the coil pack either had water in it or is starting to break down.
Anyone else out there had a similar experience??????
