GTV V6 53 Plate. Misfire and Engine Management Light
I have just purchased a 3.0 V6 and on the long drive home the Engine Management Light came on (after about 100 miles and a stop at a service station). The engine seemed fine on the mixed motor way and busy stop/start parts of my journey - although it started to feel a little rough as I was pulling away.
Yesterday I took a short city journey and the roughness was considerably more pronounced. I have managed to get the codes out of ECU and have the following:
Stored DTC (S)
P0202 - Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinder 2
P0201 - Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinder 1
Pending DTC (S) Detected during current or last completed driving cycle
P0301 - Cylinder 1 Misfire detected
The car itself has had 2 previous owners and full history and has done 75K Miles. It had the timing belt changed in January by the dealer. I have done some research on these forums and the most likely problem seems to be the timing on the newly changed belt.
I would be grateful for any advice on how I should proceed.
