Starting problems when it's rained

Hi all, I have this problem when there has been too much rain. The remote works fine, the central lockin works.
But the orange key light on the dash will not go out.i have had this happen before but last time the power stayed on even though the keys where out the ignition, but when it's not rained as much there is no problem all under the dash by the glove box it's wet.
Hope someone can shed a light please.

Well as you say, it is quite apparent what is causing the problem, I would be tempted to get a good bright LED torch and try to see where the water is tracking from to get a rough idea as to where it is settling to create a short connection.
This might involve being out there in the p*****g rain and a double contortion act inside.

dry it out when you get the opportunity and then do a search for "wet footwell" there's plenty on it..
take the column covers off and hit it with WD40..
