A big to Ned and the crew for "sorting" my Cup, it really is like driving a different car now !!

Love the fact it now corners like a TS but with more grunt, the quaife is a must have for V6 owners.

I am definitely recommending Ned and and his team for this kind of work, very thorough and attention to detail.

Well it's been over 2 years since the car was at Autolusso having its "midlife crisis" and to date it really hasn't missed a beat, it hasn't covered many miles either !!

I did however take the car to Belgium (Spaitalia 2014) for the event and the car was faultless.

Here was a picture from the parade.....

I can't believe I have only just stumbled upon this thread, congratulations and good work, Sir!

Is it me, or is that front wheel at a bit of a crazy angle?

Hello mate, It's the camera angle, there's nothing wrong with the front or rear wheels

No problem Dan, I've got plenty of decent photos of Cup 131.

What do you think of this one.....

Hen's teeth, and some, yellow Plus's.

Bullet proof engines, but 180k on a turbo is going some.

Cheers,
Hedge

Andy,

What are your thoughts on the Koni STR-T shocks - did they change the ride much?

Honestly, I think TRW shocks are better. The koni orange shock are a good cheap replacement. I'd probably fit koni yellows or standard trw shocks with standard springs next time around.

Hi Andy, glad to hear that - I've just bought that exact combination for my V6 Spider and was worried whether I had made the wrong move!
Suplex springs and TRW's for the rear should be good then you think? (everyday use mostly, with a couple of track days maybe)

Hi UncleJam - I know you're not asking me but I have TRW and Suplex on the rear. I don't really know any different but it feels good to me. It's also powerflexed. I'm sure I have read somewhere that TRW made the original OEMs for Alfa and so they are as good as the same even though they look slightly different.

This is an old thread and this car belongs to Ross (Ross156) now.

Hi James, thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. My car is also Powerflexed, so should feel pretty much the same as yours hopefully.
I have owned several lowered / coilover equipped cars in the past and they were all compromised for everyday driving. A lowered stiffened car looks cool but unless you drive on track regularly, it's just not worth the discomfort. I also worry about the negative effects on an old car chassis of being bashed and crashed around constantly!
