Very nice indeed, Andy the grey is a very good choice indeed for the cam covers. ..Very smart indeed, congrats you jammy dodger .

PS; That fuel rail would have looked mint in gold or copper against all that grey, chrome and silver.

The engine covers are beautiful and look very slick.
It's a shame that those new koni's are orange, the colour is nice but not with red paintwork, still the ride will be good. Looking forward to seeing it later in the year Andy. Don't forget the sweets.

I was kinda hoping for the fuel rail to be "standard" colour, but am over the moon Ned has gone wuth the alloy silver. I think it goes really well. Thumb up Ned !!

Looking good Andy, but with what you're spending on this and your Spider, to date, you probably been able to have bought a 4C

Nice colour on the cam covers, good contrast to the Rosso. Look forward to seeing it

Wow, I really like the colour of those covers. Good choice, Andy. Ned, are those the Koni STR.T you've fitted?

Yes the shocks are Koni street or Koni orange. I bought them from Alfashop if your interested in buying some give Philip a call.

I thought I recognised them. I've ordered a set from Philip and getting them fitted at the moment. I think I've been running on the original OEM ones, so I'm expecting to notice quite a difference. Great to see the transformation of your Cup.

Would be interested in hearing about the difference in ride. Mine is on OEM and although fine, it really is bad on rough surfaces. Bones get shattered.

Thanks

Andy

Andy, that engine looks lovely - is it a powdercoat or a wrinkle paint?

A bit of both I think. I haven't seen it up close yet but from the pictures it looks like the cam covers are alloy silver powder coat and the cover/plenum has a crinkle black coat over the top.

Maybe Ned can clarify if I'm wrong.

Ive gone from standard to strt on my 156 and the ride is a lot harsher. Although it handles better in bends now

Andy, there's a lot of cobbled streets around where I live and the car rattles over them at the moment. I'm hoping the new shocks will feel a bit more firm, but dampened...if that makes sense* I was going to go for the Koni sports but I doubt I'd ever adjust them to justify the additional cost.

Neither of you say how old your OEM shocks are?

Any new shock, Koni or std OEM, will/should feel vastly different/better.

Every time I've fitted new OEM front shocks to a V6 they've transformed the car even though the previous owners thought there was nothing wrong, just that's how it was meant to feel.

Not tried the Koni SRTs yet but I have a pair in stock for future use.
