To ghetto repair or to replace? That is the question.....
Long story short; let my old man top up my car the other week and then the next time I went to put a few litres in her I noticed my filler cap (the body panel section) had somehow snapped clean off.
Looking at it I am assuming that the hinge is fibreglass and that, so long as I can successfully remove the hinge from the car, that I could probably use fibreglass repair glue and put it back together.
Or I could just find someone with a rosso GTV for parts and do the job properly.
Anyone got any advice? I don't really mind either method, its more a matter of how the heck I get the hinge out of the car??? I am assuming that I use the little pin and slide it up (there is a spring in the hinge) and the hinge should pop out?
