gear change 6-speed
Just (at the weekend) collected a V6 spider (2001), gear change is pretty imprecise at best so had a look on here to see possibles; OK, bushes on the top of the gearbox mechanism, will need cleaning/replacing.
Also checked the bottom of the gear lever for damage, all looks good apart from the three bolts are loose that hold down the upper plastic housing to the lower box/housing, where the "ball pivot" sits . Is this a dismantle job or is there a cunning trick to tighten? I assume there are nuts the other side that need holding to torque down or should they be captive nuts and the bolts over tightened?.
If a dismantle assume it's under I go, exhaust off, etc, & work from below?
