tyres, tyres, tyres

I have just spent 1,800 euro is the last 2 months fixing the major mechanical issues on my GTV, so my next 2 concerns are a new set of tyres and a good general service either just before or after Christmas when I recoup from open wallet surgery.

So my question is what tyres do you lot have on your GTV's?, what do you think of them and what do you recommend if you've gone through a few different brands on you GTV?.

I have 3 Bridgestone Touranzas and one cheapo tyre on mine as when I bought it the dealer had to stand over the NCT. It failed on tyres and he told me he changed all 4, but I think he just put 3 from another car in his lot on it and had to buy one, the cheap ********. The Touranzas are quite worn and it looks like a a bit of a mutt with the cheapo tyre looking totally different and new. I am going to change all 4 and keep the new cheapo one he put on as a spare as it has very little milage onit, as I only do about 200 miles a month.

Also if there are any Irish posters what did you pay for your brand of choice and where did you buy from?

Re: tyres, tyres, tyres

I believe OEM was Pirelli P6000, which I stand by still as the best for my spider, have tried quite a few and always go back to the P6000's for best value - performance ratio.. other tyres just seem to get shredded much quicker...
