Having had my GTV for 9 months its been pretty reliable but the time has come to start tackling a few of the bigger jobs.
The car is a 1998 PH2 with full Alfa Romeo and AR specialist history, had done 128k miles when i picked it up (now on 138k) and cost me a £405
apart from some scratches and a chipped bonnet, broken drivers electric window (still not got round to fixing it as its saving me a fortune in McDonalds drive throughs!) mechanically the car was well sorted.
i have so far replaced the thermostat, aerial, 4 tyres, oil and filters, the aux belt idler and tensioners, cambelt and balance belt, waterpump, Cybox s/s exhaust.
i have discs and pads on order for front and rear.
When Jamie at Go Italia replaced the cambelt he confirmed the NSR wheel bearing was on its way out. And the rear suspension bushes are also on the way out.
My plan is to totally rebuild the rear end with
New NSR wheel bearing.
Powerflex the entire rear and powder coat the arms and pans.
New discs and pads.
possibly paint the calipers red
i am going to attempt to do this myself.
do these prices sound right for the parts (eBay sourced)?
