You want Freddie Ferodo's DS2500 pads. These are high-performance pads but not a pure track pad (they warm up after two prods of the pedal).
The biggest factor though, is going to be air in the system .
Try bleeding the brakes thoroughly first. It'll make the biggest difference, if it needs doing.
Bleed the brakes completely every 12 months. Brake fluid absorbs moisture and that then boils out of the fluid (it gets to about 250C down there). Those little air bubbles then compress when the brake is squeezed, so you get the spongey pedal. New fluid = less moisture = less air.
