Great story mate.

I just knew that was a good car. I reckon I'll be in the market for a Spider next year (if the garage gets built) and I hope I can find one like that for that money.

Well done

Glad you enjoyed the drive home Phil, and I'm happy she's gone to a good home!

I missed the earlier comments about the oil drops. If the commenter had looked at the pictures closely, he's have noticed that the patches of "oil" on the road are drips of water from where it's just been washed!

Superb - you got a bargain there! And great write up.

I just paid a lot more for my 2000 Spider 2.0TS though it had a lot of history and was tidy. However I'm still speeding out on brake pads, discs & cv joints (but they are consumables).

I'm pretty certain there's no such thing as a 'cheap' Alfa Spider' but how do you measure fun away!

alfa spider

My N reg spider was just over 500, I figure that a nice tidy early one like mine is probably worth in my mind I've got 1000 left in my pocket to get it upto scratch, I could have bought one for 1500 and still needed to spend money to make get it right! So I'm all for a cheap spider, looks like you got a good deal to me

Yep, My other "best" spider, I paid 2,200 for as it is just a truly superb car. (Pic enclosed). There is a distinct difference between this one and the cheap one I collected Sat. however I shall over time bring it upto nice condition.

Dark grey and red looks great ,2,200 still seems a bit of bargain for that one .
