Gearbox linkage is not expensive job, bit of a PITA though. You have to disconnect the exhaust under the floor & remove the cover plate that runs the full length of the centre tunnel. The bushes are cheap enough and the plastic housing is the same as the 156 V6 that you can buy seperately for £15ish. You can get the gear linkage working like new, including the infamous "top hat" bushes for about £30 plus a couple of hours under the car.
nice one i might go and view this car, adding up the cost for it getting through a mot is looking cost effective. I wouldn't need to use the car so could save up some extra funds for the cambelt. Providing the car is as good as it looks in the pics.
nearside & offside rear (inner) trailing arm has slight play in pin/bush
