It starts for around a second then stops, there must be something wrong with the contact as it think's it's broken, with a little nudge it's fine. I think that it's a little out of line, I think I can hear one side tightening for a little longer than the other when it closes.
If your passenger window is a bit sluggish it could be that the rubber that it rubs up and down on is a bit dry because of exterior conditions - on the door pillar and where the seal meets the window...the best remedy I found was to put some silicon on the rubbers to get them smoother for the window to run up and down on - so the motor doesn't labour as much. The silicon I use is the tyre shine you can buy from Halfords - or house polish will probably do the job - thagt should tide you over!
Unfortunately, I'm selling my spider because I can't buy a house and keep the car....I'm gutted.
