Brake pads

I'm wanting to give my spider some more stopping power.
Should I go OMP carbon pads or some EBC yellowstuff pads?

They're about the same price. So just wondering what people say, Are the yellowstuff carbon? They're for the track as well as road, so guess they'll stop a train!?

I wouldn't use carbon pads for road driving. They are only fully-effective when they are running HOT (and I mean HOT). Otherwise you will probably see worse braking performance than OE pads for road use.

In regards to your question, yes I believe the yellowstuff's are carbon pads as they are designed first and foremost for track usage. If I were you I would just get some EBC Redstuff pads. They are perfectly fine for the track but are far better for road driving conditions.

Just my 2 cents anyway

Use Ferodo DS2500's

make sure your braking system in general is in good condition, lines/calipers/fluid/discs

Red Abarth 500c

I have drilled/grooved discs (Mtec) on my spider combined with greenstuff pads.
Excellent stopping power for highly spirited fast road driving, I would say its cut my stopping distance by a quarter or possibly a third.
If I was doing trackdays I think I would get a set of DS2500s or red/yellow stuff to put in for the track.
In the same way that some people have a set of trackday tyres.
