Re: Wet Carpet Under Seats and in Boot?
Thanks for the help people,
Will check the following in detail ASAP, only had the car 3 months or so, I can't remember the name of the garage I got it from (says allot about me!!) will frantically check guarantee.
Just popped out to the office car park and check under the carpets, the foam and sound proofing underneath seems dry?
Now a little more confused the car seems pretty solid and have been happy with it to date, windscreen also seems solid, the rubbers are maybe a tiny bit perished but nothing that I would have thought could have an impact, however the bluetac has stopped the leak from the roof, it just seems like rather than the water rolling down the window or the windscreen frame it builds up at the edge of the canvas and then drips in through the joint.
I do find it harder to close the roof on the passenger side than the drivers side, id the rood is down for a longer period of time it is also harder to close the latches, should this be so..
As an update, I have spoken to the garage and they have advised to clear out the drainage holes by lifting the roof and using a high pressure air hose? They have booked me in for the 09/06/06 to wet vac the carpets and go from there!
Thanks for your help, still not sure what to do about the roof catches.
