Ok, Back in July 2013 I bought this GTV from a nice chap in Birmingham. It's a 105K miler with an almost full history. But for me the Red Style interior made it particularly interesting.
Over all its condition was "Fair". A dent in every panel, an oil leak, EML on, airbag light on and a dodgy thermostat meant it ran cold.
But with the deal done at £800 I couldn't resist it and drove it home to south wales. It drove wonderfully well, and didn't miss a beat.
Now this thread is about to get huge, as I have embarked on a project to completely update and makeover this car to my taste. Where possible I will be as original as I can, but where I can improve things and update things I will.
The haters will hate and the purists will cry in their anoraks. But for those of you interested in what you can do with an £800 Twin spark GTV and a restoration budget of about £5K listen up.
Im in no way an expert mechanic, but I've enjoyed tinkering over the past 20 years and I've owned over a dozen alfas.
I also have the advantage of a double garage, carpeted, heated and a very understanding wife who I keep convincing that building my Alfa is cheaper than playing Golf!!http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/image...ies/thumbs.gif
