GTV.... 2 seater or 4 seater?

Im thinking of buying an Alfa gtv, but sometimes travel with 4 adults..
ive never inspected a gtv in the flesh, so can someone confirm whether 2 adults can fit in the back seats??!

also, whats the average costs for a cambelt change at an independant garage.

Re: GTV.... 2 seater or 4 seater?

How large are these adults and how friendly towards each other are they? Two slim teenagers will fit, I know as I've carried 2 of my daughter's friends in the back before, 2 small children will also fit.
Are these 2 adults really good friends of yours and would having one of 'the best looking cars ever' be more important than carting them around?

I've just bought the latest cam belt kit, genuine Alfa and includes cam belt, fixed and adjustable tensioners, balance belt with adjusters and cam cover seal for £160 from Mangoletsi. I'm doing it because although its low mileage its coming up to 5 years old. Camlocks, both tensioner adjusters and TDI indicator cost me £130.

A good indie will be able to do above for as little as (circa) £230 as a deal (see Jamie Porter's site or DTR Sports). Variator and water pump will be extra if required and many advise changing them at the same time as the belts. If you do belts, tensioners must be done, and the latest cambelt tensioner (adj) is metal and not plastic.

I've had 3 in my GTV before (although the passenger and person sitting behind her weren't particularly tall. You can get four in, but the issue for me is that I'd have to move the drivers seat foward, which I guess in an emergency might be unsafe. However, so long as you're not planning to do it regularly you could.

not ideal but if only short journeys you will probably get away with it providing they dont have luggage to carry also!! ( tiny boot!).

Helps as has already been mentioned if they get on well with each other!

I had 4 in my GTV, but unless the rear passengers are contorsionists the Driver and front passenger will have to slide the front seats forwards a bit.
I suppose 1 person could sit across the rear seat in relative comfort, but this might not be strictly legal.
