what paint did he use? Theres lots of garages that do resprays for this price. And you get what you pay for (and that isnt necesarily a bad job). You can get a very good finish. But you will find they have used gloss based paints. And the paint isnt as strong or hard wearing as the better water based paints (like lesson). Also if you dont take the windows out and just tape upto the window seals you tend to get flaking later on (you would want to use a pressure washer on it). Dont get me wrong Ive had cheap paint jobs in the past, and ill have them again in the future. But when you pay 2K you get proper prep with all windows removed. Inner door seals done etc. You get power coats and bakes on the alloys. And most importantly you get base coat and laquer rather than just gloss paint or 2 pac. That extra money really counts 4-5 years down the line. Thats what I had done with the yellow cup and the paint is still fresh now.I only ever get alloys fully refurbed now. I pay 50 quid an alloy for a power coat and double bake. getting the fronts blown over doesnt really provide a strong enough finish, when you take the tyre off on a skimmer it rips off the the paint. With a full bake they earn their 50 quid. With a face side blow over, you think you are saving money but the paint is never strong.
