Alfa 3.0 GTV

My downpipe has been making weird noises for last month or so and I think its about to give up permanently very soon, which was no doubt not helped by my 3 figure speeds that I called on it today blasting up and down a lovely bit of prolonged dual carriageway nearby where I live.

Has anyone replaced this on their GTV and if so, where is the cheapest place to order an Alfa replacement bit which I can get my local specialist to fit for me, as we have got to know each other pretty well over the last 13 months of my alfa ownership! Not That well though!)

Incidentally does this majorly affect performance when it is apparent that it is on its way out?

I have replaced the back box and centre box both within the last 6 months so at least theres no more exhaust bits to go, CAT aside.

Re: downpipe

Not sure if it helps, but ive just had to get mine replaced and the cost was 'apparently' 140 pounds for the part.

Re: downpipe

You may be out of luck with a pattern part as they don't often "go".. hence not much market for replacements. I'd bung another Genuine part in there.. it'll be a known quantity and you won't have to disturb the other new parts you just fitted.
