Re: useless fog lights / adjustment
Fair point Bazza, but I assure you that I don't want to be a numpty. I would hope the fog lights at least illuminate the kerb / white lines very near to the car, but they don't do this. There is absolutely no discernable benefit over just the dipped lights, and they are far less effective than my previous car, a 145. On the 145 they were a genuine help in this way. As I have had many cars before (inc the 145) with effective fog lights, I realise that the ones on the GTV (or at least my GTV!) are useless. It may be the 30cm that they illuminate infront of the car is beneath the line of the bonnet (from my driving position, and I'm not particularly short-ar*ed).
I wonder if other GTV owners find them okay / useless?
I do get significant fog round here as my daily journey takes me over Lansdowne (where Bath Racecourse is), and it is frequently in the clouds.
I am a stickler for the law re: fog lights & their use, indeed, nothing makes my blood boil more than their inappropriate use - most commonly rear fogs in rain on crowded motorways, they cause an awful glare and obliterate the brake lights, and cause migraine!
