I've just got my 2.0TS back from the garage again, was being looked at for the engine management light coming on a couple of days after being reset each time. Thorough investigation on each occassion, this time I had to bite the bullet and get the air mass sensor changed. (nicely, not charged for 3 seperate previous days of investigation)
What a difference! It must be that the performance had reduced gradually over time, and I didn't notice the flat performance, but now I get a kick in the pants again
Was previously sluggish between 3000 and 4000 revs, I now realise.
They showed me the evidence to back up their recommendation to get the air mass sensor changed. This was proved comparing the readings from a data logger; peak 280Kg/Hr before, and 410Kg/Hr after so it wasn't breathing right. The readings were all over the place before.
Plus the garage showed me the air filter they changed - it was so mucky, it can't have been changed at the last service (elsewhere, by an Alfa dealer, grrr)!
