Wheel Hub / Bearing - Overtightened / Locked???
I'm in the middle of changing a wheel bearing / hub... I tightened the hub nut and couldn't turn the hub, so I thought I may have over tightened the nut (is this possible - I was using my breaker bar but not too much as I am borrowing a friends' 300Nm torque wrench as I want to get the correct torque...). Anyway, when I undid the nut, I realised the first time I put it on I forgot to put the washer in behind the nut! Anyway, no matter what I do now, I can not turn the hub and with the nut off I could not pull the new hub off...
I have tried putting the spare wheel on to get a better purchase on it to turn it but it still wouldn't.... I am now hoping the weight of the car when I get it off the jacks will unseize whatever has seized up but am open to any other ideas of how to free it off!
