headlight flash

I'm about to fit HID kit to my phase 1. But as it flashes both dip and main I am wondering if it is possible to disconnect the dip flash?? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

Are you sure.

Never heard of that before.

AFAIK theres only one filament and one reflector (with no moving parts) in the dipped beam housing, so I dont see how it would be flashing the dipped part of the beam.

However, as always, I am happy to be corrected

If you remove diode N18, then the dipped beams will extinguish when switched to main beam. You probably don't want that -

a) you'll only have about half the light output on main beam
b) as xenons take a while to achieve full output, you'll be blind for a while when going from main to dipped.
