So special, that she even has a name.
I call her "Anna", which is short for "Anna Rachnid"

Did you see what I did there.. :mygrin1:

Mine is definitely not one of the best in the UK. It's probably not even the best car we own (Fabia VRS, 05 model, is our main car and it is, quite frankly, brilliant). But I can honestly say I have never fallen for a car so quickly. It's got all the clichéd Italian car charisma stuff by the skipload. My other half reckons it is impossibly pretty for a £750 car and sounds like a little Ferrari. I think she's pretty much bang on with that assessment.

My fun fun fun . The most versatile two seater convertible car. It does everything I need it to. Every journey is a fun one.

In the looks department these beasties still have head turning looks. My spider draws genuine admiring attention wherever its parked.

The day I part with Romeo my spider will truly be a sad one! Only a 3.2 V6 916 spider or a Maserati Gransport would tempt me right now.

These are definite contenders for modern classic status in my opinion. Great cars, good to drive, pretty reliable and well put together and rare enough to not see another one every time you go for a drive (try that with an MX5 or an MGF). Not suggesting they will ever be worth megabucks, but people in the trade I have spoken to are of the opinion that values of good GTVs and Spiders will start to climb again soon. So if you have one, cherish it and it might just reward you in the long term.

They also have that rare appeal of looking entirely of their time, and yet they still somehow look contemporary. Proper timeless styling. I can think of very few vehicles that manage to stand the test of time so well. In fact only one other comes to mind, the Ducati 916. That is the highest praise I can think of.

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer

Special enough to do a complete engine and box rebuild.
Certainly got one of the lowest mileage engines
She's done 300 miles still running in tho so so quiet.
Given the choice of a car park full of spiders I would still want to take mine home

There are many reasons that I should have long since given up and sold mine. However, its the only car I have ever owned that I have always felt connected to and makes me feel "special" when I drive her.

Oddly, its also one of the few constants in my life in the 13 years I have owned her. That's a connection that is hard to break. Soul....

All of the comments sum up my "Bella", it's the only car I've owned that makes every journey special and despite the usual Alfa issues I love her to bits

I simply love mine .

It looks great and I always turn and look back when I park.

Best thing though is when I plant my right foot and that V6 just roars. I've had it for a year and put 20k miles on it - I've enjoyed every single one of them.

For the last 3 months the weather has been so good that the top has been down almost every day .

In short it is my favourite car to date.
