Hi Guy's, Once again I find myself defending the description of my 916 as being 'rare' but IT IS, it isn't just the colour though that in itself is rare, Mr Stratos... declares that he owns one of the only 2 white 916's registered in the U.K. and I wish him well with it and if it is exceptionally immaculate and if it is a 3 Litre 12 valve example then he should get what I have been offered (and turned down) for mine. In moment of madness (due to a constant moaning of 'er indoors) I put my 916 on ebay 12 days ago, within 3 hours a lady from Preston came and offered me £8000-00 without the cherished plate, I rejected the offer as I truly did not want to part with my beautiful machine, I also had two silly bids (one of £12K and one of £15K but they came from ebay bods with no veritable history so I rejected them. It did finish at £5600-00 and I breathed a sigh of relief as it did not reach my reserve of £10K. In truth if I were to contemplate selling her I would choose an appropriate classic car mag. In answer to an above post about the Ferrari badges I am contemplating having some Boeing badges made for the boot and a PRATT and Whitney badge for the engine.
