New owner/GTV insurance
In a few days I'll be picking up my new wheels, a very clean '99 2.0 Lusso in metallic burgundy with black leather interior. It's a beaut. I convinced myself, after a test drive, that I could fit, despite earlier concerns about headroom. Comments on the forum helped, so thanks all. It's only done 32k. I can't be sure whether the belt is original though. The history is stamped to 22k, so it's due a full service. Should the belt be changed every 2 years regardless? I ride an early 90's Ducati so fully understand the importance of neglect in that department. Every 6000 miles for that baby.
The history is all stamped up but there are no receipts, which bothered me at first, but it looks well cared for. I get free lifetime parts & labour warranty with it. Sounds too good to be true I admit. The dealer is doing a promotion, banking on buyers who like to change their car every year, the fools. Well maybe their merc/4x4 buyers will. Not I.
Can anyone recommend any starting points for good GTV insurance, before I start hunting randomly. I've got 4yrs NCB.
