a handful of questions

After having both the thermostat and water pump replaced the sensor has been damaged by the overheating so is still sending error signals to the EIS. Has anybody replaced this sensor themselves? If yes is it difficult and time consuming? Where would I get a new sensor from? I checked shop4parts but they dont seem to list any sensors.

is there a consenses on the best tyre for the GTV?

where can i get a new rubber trim that is on the door slam panel? the drivers side is popping off the rivets.

just had the belts, tensioners and variator replace so a bit light in the pocket when you put the waterpump and thermostat but the piece of mind and the non diesel start up are worth it.

Re: a handful of questions

The temperature sensor thingy, if its what I think you're talking about screws into the thermostat body. Its like a cylindrical mass of brass if I remember rightly with a green? plastic body. This is just from memory at the moment I'll be able to check properly tomorrow in daylight if I have time. Get them anywhere, thermostat sensor. Easy job, one out, new one in with bit of PTFE tape round in this case (the white ribbony/plastic tape type stuff used on radiator valves) reconnect plug. Not expensive.
