Stupid head gasket question
My P1 Spider TS was drinking a fair bit of water. As there was moisture around the bottom of the rad, I replaced the radiator this weekend. I think the rad was knackered, and bled the new one by topping up the water with the engine running. When I took it out for a quick test, the water level fell again! This may have been an airlock/bleeding issue. As there was no evidence of water loss, I am wondering where the water can be going? If the head gasket is shot, how can you tell? There is no mayonnaise inside the oil cap.....
Incidentally, whilst I think the rad was knackered it was not as knackered as the a/c condenser which I have now removed. Will remove the rest of the a/c gibbons when I take the bumper off. It never worked anyway!
