Shock Absorbers Different Versions?

I'm in the process of changing the front shocks of my 1998 Alfaromeo GTV 2.0T CF2. I'm finding it a bit difficult to find them for my version of GTV. I mostly find either for the CF1 or for the CF2.

What is the difference between versions of GTV in the shock?

For example Monroe I cannot find for my version; are up to 97. KYB state the same shock used for 94-03. Bilstein the same from 94-03. While Koni they are up till 97. Am confused at this point.

Any help would be appreciated.

GTV twinspark

Late V6s and TS have the ARB drop link connect to the strut, whereas older cars the ARB link connects to the wishbone. Struts for the later cars will fit older cars, but on the newer cars the strut needs to have a bracket to mount the drop link to.

V6 and TS hubs are different so the struts wont fit each other.

I got Konis for my V6 - if you just look for Konis for year 2000 GTV TS Im sure there there. Shouldn't be that hard. Ive seen plenty of them around.

Thanks for your response.

I confirm that the arb links connect to the wishbone for mine. So are we saying there is not different versions in the shocks? Or just CF1 and CF2 are the same? And CF3 is different?

I've checked again the Koni and according to the catalogue it says:
Coupé 2.0-16V, up to chassisno 7011933 95-97 which are 8741-1324Sport
I think mine is 6049699 but the year doesn't match in the case above.

But then at the same time there is the Coupé 1.8-16V with the same shock part number and listed with 95-05 as year.
And this is just the Koni as an example.
