Code light on

Hi all

Ive just changed the EPROM chip in my phase 1 twinny. Did it by the book, disconnected battery used earth strap and chip puller. Put it all back together reconnected battery and not the code light wont go out!

Any ideas please as never had a problem with the code light before??

Just a thought, the start enable code may be stored in the old EEPROM chip?. If you don't know how the CODE/Immobiliser work, there a good introduction on Alfaworkshop site.

Read paragraph 3.

The obvious suggestion is to replace the original chip - if that solves the issue, your new chip may be faulty or incompatible.

Also worth checking that there are no bent pins on the ECU connector plug.....
