I recently bought another gtv that has front end damage due to a collision.
this was exactly what i wanted. a project for the weekends. But i has hit a pretty nasty snag.
other than the bumper and bonnet damage the chassis is bent about 3-4cm in and to the left. But u have a client who is a crash repairer that said he could straighten it pretty easy.
The car had been unused for about 5 months so i checked the oil and coolant and after putting a new battery in she seemed to start fine but she had an erratic idle and a delay in throttle response.
after looking through the forums i put it down to either MAF or throttle sensor or due to the battery being dead for so long it needed icu reset and was in limp mode.
Here in lies the problem. i had the car booked to have the chassis straightened last monday and i was going to address the engine issue after.
so it seemed drivable but on the way to the crashy i think i have killed the engine.
Loud noises from with in the engine....all bad!
I want to get in there and find out how bad it is but i dont know what caused it???
so my question is this what could have caused this?
i know its hard to answer without seeing her but some direction would be much appreciate.
