I bought my V6 last October after 6+ years of constantly scouring Autotrader and Pistonheads longing for a V6 GTV. I must hold the record as mine cost me £18,000 .................. I had to buy the Mrs a "new" S-Max so I could bin the large family car and replace her Fiesta with the GTV. The S-Max was 18m old with 28k on it and was £10k less than new so not all bad news.
So far I've done 3500 miles and replaced the oil cooler, the MAF twice (make sure your filter is good and sealed kids), MTEC drilled & groved discs all round, a couple of indicator bulbs because the orange paint had peeled. It averages 20mpg so I'm looking at fitting a LPG coversion. But if you could measure the "smiles per gallon" it would be off the scale. I never fail to feel special every time I get in and hear that V6 wake up like you've just poked a dragon with a cattle prod.
My clutch is getting heavy (indicating it needs changing) so my next planned expendiature is GTA flywheel & clutch with a Q2 (Quaife) fitted at the same time. I will not be doing this myself; I could but the car would need to be off the road for longer than I can live without it :-(
