Replacement Filter vs BMC CDA????
Since I've had my v6 GTV it's had a really cheap looking cone filter on it. Although it made the car sound awsome it has always bothered me that it ruined the look of what is otherwise a really smart looking engine bay.
Well I managed to source an original filter and air box assembley and fitted it today, and the first thing I noticed is that although the sound is not what it used to be, the car feels a bit more responsive. My next step will be to either change the filter element to a pipercross one or something similar, or to get a BMC CDA induction kit.
Now I'm aware that the CDA will probably give the better noise, but does anyone have any first hand experience of which one would give the greater performance increase?
