Sorry for the double posts.
I have been thinking, when i was taking the gearbox out i had trouble removing one of the gear linkage rods so i thought i would remove the selector that the rod bolts too so i undid the 2 bolts on the part in the photo. I couldn't get the selector out more than a mm or 2 though so i pushed it back int and put the bolts back in.
I am wondering, could i have put the selector back in wrong and my attempts to get the gearstick to move right is causing the rod to just fall out of the selector?
Can someone please tell me, is there a procedure to refit the selector mechanism correctly? If i have broken it (unlikely) i can rob one from the 145, not a problem.
