Just to clarify a few things.
Car moved at 130mph for a bit, slowed down, sudden noise under the bonnet, followed by heavy smoke, no immediate loss of power, actually no loss of power noticed. Stoped the car as quickly as possible. Ran to open the bonnet and check what was going on, noticed that one of the tubes that connects engine to radiator (or what looks an engine to radiator connection to my eyes) was snapped. I think I actually saw a tube flying on the side of the car when it broke. Then checked the oil (just in case...) and it was fine. Hence why I turned it on, sounded ok, turned it off again. Later (after 3 hours waiting for rescue...) and when light appeared I noticed all the oil under the engine, looked under the car, found a hole on the sump, facing the front of the car and in one corner.
When the rescue guys appeared they immediately said to scrap it that it was a "broken rod". Didn't even bother to look or ask anything.
f#"% off I said to the guy, well, not loud enough probably...!
I'm really not a mechanic guy, don't have space for two cars, the ts was cheap, but in the past year invested on full suspension, brakes, cam belt, full exhaust, maf, thermostat, etc. etc...
Thanks for the input!
I'm counting with the worst, for sure, broken engine
but waiting that something just hit the sump and caused all this
cheers, off to the pub
