Just need to let you know that I am completely ecstatic as I have just ended a 2 year search for the best GTV I could find. Found it just north of Rome in early February (2000 km south of me!), caught a plane with my wife and spent a few days visiting and shopping in Rome also combining pleasure with pleasure
We made instant friends with the owner and his wife (greetings Daniele if you are lurking) and having a shared passion for AR and shared profesion as mechanical engineers we did not find it difficult to pass time together.
The car was in even better condition than I had imagined and my long list of checkpoints was filled with OKīs.
So specs of the car
GTV 3.0 24V Lusso, 3/2000, 53.000km (33k miles)
Vela blue with tan leather and carpets
17" Teledials, exterior and interior in perfect condition. Not a single scratch or rust patch was found.
Q2, GTA single mass flywheel and clutch
GTA 330mm front brakes and 4 pot Brembos, braided lines and ferodo pads
3.2 intake cams
Alfaholics stainless front pipes, decat and center section
Squadra tuning remap
Alfaholics front and rear antiroll bars
Weichers alu strutbar
Koni yellow dampers and Eibach springs
Alpine headunit with eu navi, Alpine cd changer, Alpine digital processor
Alu doorpins and sport pedals
Overall the car and engine behaves better than any GTV I have driven (that is many!). Color combo was not initially on my list but has surprised me as being very classy and very much to my liking (always a question of personal preference, I guess). It will be a summer car only as I have a faithful 156 as my everyday driver. A few trackdays will also be on the order.
Plans for the car is still being considered. Trying to decide on these issues
- cup front lip and side skirt (no sills for me)
- quad exhaust rear (standard at the moment and exhaust note is beyond beautiful so donīt want spoil it
Car is obviously not on the road yet as we still have salt on them so I just have a few pictures to offer. More will follow when the temp is up and the sun is out.
