When I park my car at work and walk to the door looking back all the while, I can't decide whether I prefer to park her forward; so I can admire the front overhang :inlove: ; or backward so I can admire her pert rear :inlove:
The only thing I would want to change on the rear is a modern freshen up of the strip light. Keep the same design, same red and white pattern, but with some crystal lenses and led clusters.
The one time I did park my GTV arse out in a car park it was fortuitous, in a sense, as an elderly chap messed up reversing his automatic Granada out and smashed into my bella. (He confused the brake and throttle and roared out of his space at some speed.) The middle of the arse was caved in by about 8 or 9 inches, and the car as a whole, with handbrake on and in gear, was pushed up and over the kerb in front and into the bushes between parking aisles. The car was off the road for 6 weeks being put back to better than new.
The reason I say fortuitous is I dread to think what the result would have ben if the impact had been on the front.... A lot worse/more expensive I imagine.
They would probably have written the car off if you'd damaged any of the no longer available components. Insurance companys will not scour breakers yards for good SH parts! Lucky indeed
Where I work I have to park t*ts out... Lol As part of my job I have to do security patrols. I find myself checking out her rear end from the bushes! It makes me feel dirty... :tut::cheese:
I get the same thing, never know how to park when I drive the GTV. Just when looking back which bit do you want to keep admiring, issue with front for me is I want a cup lip bad and it just reminds me of that issue .
Then again tho, I have an Audi A4 and I look back at that when walking away.....................
I was studying images of the 4C yesterday and was definately seeing some GTV DNA. The narrow roof line and angular proportions are very similar. The kicked up tail with the scallop for the number plate. The bonnet bulge flowing down to the small grill with the secondary light clusters positioned as per GTV. A very pretty modern take on the style and proportions of our cars; I approve
Backside in , away from any car that could transport a child that likes flinging open doors.
Incident at Alton Towers last year , MPV pulled next to us whack , child opens door on to mine , whack , just to make sure my was still there he did it again. WTF . No damage and no apology from his Mother when i was inpecting the car .
Always park it by it self if possible , to prevent dinks and to get a better of it when i come back .
Agree with 4C DNA , Should be able to afford one in 10/15 years !
