1999 GTV TS 2.0..rear window heater fuse fail

Hi.. just wondered if anyone could give me a few pointers on this lill' gem!
I found the melted plastic body of a (dark green) 30amp fuse in foot-well of the car.. checked out the fuse box only to find the metal parts still in situ! Tried a spare, and you guessed it... it started to melt, so I pulled it. I know the same fuse services the heated wing mirrors, but as electrics are somewhat hallowed territory for me, any ideas as to what it could mean?

Cheers in advance

P2 GTV 3.0

Hang on - thats not the right thread for the demister fix. Mods have bloody well moved it again and yet it is ESSENTIAL for all GTVs. This so maddening - it used to be a sticky on its own where everyone could see it and as it so fundamentally important I think it should be reinstated. Mods, at the very least, PLEASE replace the demister thread in the "how to" thread with the correct one below that I have now found in the "known issues" thread http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...ister-fix.html

Do it - this will save your car's life!

I've mentioned this before to the admin team, but nothing is ever done.

This site is not run for the benefit of its members. It's run as a cash cow for the owners (mainly through advertising and registered traders).

The sooner we all realise this the better.
