Did not spot a GTV/Spider, Where are they ?

This weekend I drove to Cornwall and back, a two and a half hour drive each way and on the whole journey I saw six Giuliettas, two Mitos and a GT, not even a 156 or a 147.
I guess, to be fair the weather was pretty atrocious and I would not normally have taken the Cup out in such conditions but it had not had a 'blast' since Christmas.
Alfas are obviously quite a rare breed in the south west.

To be fair, the weather has been pretty woeful and I have kept her indoors when its that bad out. Think my spidey wants to hibernate until its dry!

The once very common Alfa 156 is becoming less so, the final cars are getting on for 10 years, the 147 will start to follow as they went on a bit longer. Bit like the old Austin Metro, at one time 2 a penny but no you don't ever see them.

There are only 60 spiders currently for sale on ebay and maybe in 5 years many less up for grabs as opposed to thousands of corsas/fiestas. Eventually only an enthusiast will own one then the Alfa wave will be significant.Generally speaking a good 1996 spider commands a better price than an 03 Alfa 147.
Ive also a 1990 s4 spider i hadnt seen one for probably a year then i saw three in one day all within a five mile radius.

There's a few Alfas up here just south of Blackpool. I was three cars behind a Spider the other day but couldn't get quite close enough so they're not completely dead and buried
