That surprises me to hear you say that Paul !!
Knowing how much you paid for your car and what you have spent to get her into excellent condition would make think otherwise.
If memory serves me, its done about 140K (with an engine exchange) but still done a lot of miles overall .... ok, its got a few aftermarket bits that would make it an attractive proposition, but you never get all your money back on doing stuff (as we all know) ....
Originally when it was up for sale, I think it was on PH.com for £2,595.00 ono which is about right IMO. If Clive is sorting out paint work and a few other bits and pieces, it may become a £3K car .... but when you head towards £4K there are lower mileage, more original examples out there. Sure, numbers are reducing in the Ads.
Yes, I got mine for a touch under £2K which was a bargain for a very original example, with full Alfa main dealer and Alfa Workshop history, 2 owner car, albeit with 119K on the clock - but as you know, its pretty mint throughout. I've probably spent another £2K on top of that with fixes, new wheels, new tyres, sports exhaust and original refitments like stereo etc. but (not that I am selling) I know I would not get all of that money back...
Just going to enjoy my toy, making it as mint as possible... so maybe one day in a 100 years time, I'll sell it on for a zillion quid
We'll argue you the toss on this next week at the pub mate
BTW.. did you pickup that exhaust I left you at Jamie's?
