Just been rear-ended!!
The title says it all!
The good news is that it was a very light bump, the car was a Focus (she has admitted fault already and swapped details!) which seemed to have gone under the bumper at the back a bit...
Visible damage from the the roadside inspection is that lower section of the bumper is all scuffed, the exhaust seems to have come off the very back hanger (it might be broken, going to work and wet roads means I wasn't getting underneath!) and a smashed numberplate...
Although I am very fond of the Alfa I also understand that in the eyes of the insurance company it is not worth alot and hence I am loathe to put this through insurance as they would probably write it off! Also I am not into trying to get as much out of this as possible, just my car looking like it did!
Sooo - what hidden issues might there be, do the boot floors crease easily? Are the mounts likely to distort? I am away tonight with work but will get the bumper off at the weekend to check myself. Do people think that there are likely to be other issues?
The boot does open and shut as before, so cross fingers it might be ok...
Final got the GTV... Now the fun of fixing and driving it begins!!
