Trolley Jack

Looking to buy a trolley jack for general work on the GTV.
Any thoughts on This one.
Will that be low enough to get under the chassis.
Any other thoughts / suggestions.

That type is pretty small and doesn't lift that far. I have an old Sealey Yankee 2.5 tonne. It gets under the cars, and fair hoists them up. You need a good lift if you are going to get axle stands in underneath.

I had my Bradbury Jackette from 1973 to 2009, best lifter I've ever had. Bought it as it went sufficiently low enough to lift that old 'E'. Gave me fantastic service with just the odd repair kit needed over the years.

When we moved to our current address I sold it to the guy that bought our previous house! : Stupid mistake.

I have replaced it with one of those lightweight aluminium alloy types which I have been rather disappointed with and how I wish time and again now that I still had that Bradbury! :

I struggle with my trolley jack on my Spider, it seems (car) very low.
If it is convenient I drive it on a wooden block to enable the jack to fit underneath.

So far from what I have found, out of the sub 50 ones the sealey 1020LE offers the greatest amount of lift 86-380mm.
the sealey yankee 2.5 Ton that rxe suggested Link seems to be very tempting as it offers an extra 71mm of lift, however it is twice the price, decisions decisions.

I use a Halfords two tonne jack works fine: I jack the car at the base of the wishbone and place the axle stand under the bracket that was (I'm told) used to support the car on the production line (the one that has a hole in the middle)
No problem getting it under the car even though I have an AutoDelta Bodykit fitted
