OK, I read this last night and thought I would update this morning. I had absolutely no problem with the GTV V6 this morning. My drive is a steep incline and I went out and spread some salt last night which reduced the snow at the top but didn't clear it. She went up the drive first time, onto the packed snow/ice on the road, turned right with very little understeer. No sidding at the junction; no wheel spin as I pulled away and turned right; again no skid as I reached the roundabout at the bottom of the estate. I started to get a little bored and tried to provoke some mild wheelspin but she wasn't having any of it.
So, I can definitely recommend Pirrelli P7's in the snow.
