thanks danny 156, ken 0062 and ian lusso all of those is very good ideas and danny, that seems like the 1st port of call then i think, the free version, then work up from that. i was looking at that multiecuscan, but the £50 version that lasts for a year i thought the free version wouldnt have done it, my mate owns his own garage and has a bosch diognostics, but was unsure if it read older alfas, didnt read mine anyway.
and ken, i do have an android phone, the latest htc x1, its a beauty, ill look into what youve got, im bit of a gadget man myself, having my own diognostics tool on my phone sounds like fun, looks pretty cool too :-) only an alfa owner would realise why, the germans would probably scoff at it but anybody can have a boring bland hassle free german car :-)
ian, im definitly going to look into your fiat ecu scan scan tool from gendan too, theres 5 alfas and a few fiats in my little village here, id be keen on helping anyone who needed it.
many thanks chaps, oh and ive recently upgraded to a fully bonafied member of AOC :-)
happy new year to you all and your own, and i cant wait to get my teeth into all these suggestions
