Help Spider Battery Clamp

Hi Guys

Following the recent thread on spider cubby hole carpet I discovered a use for the black plastic knob which was in the arm rest, it holds the battery cover carpet in place! Only it could not be used as the last fitter who fitted a new battery bodged refitting the battery clamp.

The whole thing was loose so hopefully this is the root cause of a "clunk" from the rear over potholes.
The suspension bushes are all good as it has been checked on a lift.

Help required

The battery clamp seems rather complicated and it what appears to be fuses fitted on a plate facing the rear of the car, a handy service location Alfa! As its all loose can anybody supply a photo or photos as to how it should be fitted correctly please?
Any assistance greatly appreciated

Hi i have v6 and when i fitted replacement battery it was smaller
So i packed it up to the clamp with a couple of those battery mats that absorbs leaks. This held battery in place treat. It is very tight and fiddly to tighting everything up though.

My spider's battery terminals & carpet area is a total mess, so cant help you with what it should look like. One of those "get around to it one day" jobs.......

Thanks for the input guys.

I think I can see how it's supposed to be but there are missing nuts and the clamp bolt to to the tray is also missing, a 12 mm roofing bolt is the temp replacement. It's just that it does'nt want to quite fit together as Alfa inteded!

It's secure for now and its a job for warmer weather as you need to be a contorsionist to work in that area.
