I had the GTA clutch and flywheel on my GTV - would highly recommend it, makes the car noticably quicker in 1st and 2nd gear

I presume you have been to get your clutch replaced and found out that your car needs a new flywheel too. It's common, possibly even usual, for the dual-mass flywheel to need to be replaced at the same time as the clutch on the GTV V6.
A commonly used alternative is to replace the original clutch and fly with the single-mass unit from the GTA or 2.5 V6. It is cheaper than the original and in the future is likely to only need the clutch replacing, not the fly, saving lots of money longer-term. Furthermore the unit is considerable lighter meaning the engine will spin-up much quicker and be more responsive. The GTA engines made more torque than the 3.0 so there is no worries that the clutch will be strong enough. All in all advantages outweigh any disadvantages. Most Alfa indies will know this job and recommend it.
