Rear screen advice please.

My rear heated screen has stopped working and after looking into it on this forum i have seen the same melted 30amp fuse

Now before i get someone to undertake the upgrade i want to test whether i need a new fuse box. It has very little damage although its a tiny bit melted, the fuse came out easy enough. Can i put a new 30 amp fuse in to see if the screen works only for a short time or is this too much of a risk?

Thanks in advance Shelly.

I would put a multimeter in the connectors of the fuse holder and if you get 12v then the fusebox is fine.

Direct link to the fix thread if you don't already have it:

I wouldnt risk continuing to use the rear screen until you have the bypass in place.

I found it a pretty easy diy job and I don't usually do electrical stuff. if its just the plastic that is slightly melted then the rest is probably ok but best to test as suggested.
