Not the best of mornings today chaps.
Managed to wake everyone up in the house through a combination of rummaging for my keys and dropping my phone on the floor, before promptly locking my keys in the boot of my GTV. I then re-entered the house, waking every up, again to get my spare key!.
This was followed by smacking my head on the roof of my GTV as I got in...at this point I should of gone back to bed.
So, driving to work at around 70mph and the red injector light illuminated...promptly followed by a loss in power and misfire, managed to coast it into the services and rang for recovery. The car sounds like an Impreza, misfiring and down on power. There also a large amount of white smoke from the exhaust which is rather worrying.
Im at a bit of a loss as to what it may be, the engine starts, runs and doesnt overhead so shouldnt that rule out cambelt and headgasket failure? possibly jumped a tooth on the cambelt?
Im *hoping* its simply a duff sensor / injector somewhere along the line, the idle improved when the MAF was disconnected but still running on 3cyl.
Have to wait and see what the garage say
