Ive managed to get my hands on a brand new, crated 3.2 v6 which has been sat in the parts stores at Alfa UK. My mechanic is as we speak lovingly installing it.
Question is, as this is a "new" engine, I guess I'll have to 'run it in'. Whats the latest on this, what exactly are you meant to do or not do, and for how long?? Heard a rumour that running in was no longer necassary on 'new cars' some years ago but dont know if this is true or if my engine qualifies as 'new'?
